Medical Director, Providence ElderPlace PACE Oregon
Since 2014 Dr. Nash has served as the Medical Director of one of the largest Programs of All-inclusive Care of the Elderly, Providence Elderplace PACE Oregon. She is a regular consultant for assessment and care planning in frail older adults with multi-morbidity, especially those with neuropsychiatric conditions. Board certified in both internal medicine and psychiatry, a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in psychiatry and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry. Prior to this, she served as Medical Director of a tertiary referral center for geriatric psychiatry in the Pacific Northwest, the Tuality Center for Geriatric Psychiatry.
Currently the Chair of the National PACE Association Medical Leadership Committee and Chair National PACE Association Behavioral Health workgroup. As the Co-Editor of the text, Neurocognitive Behavioral Disorders: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Patient Centered Care she and her colleagues reviewed a model of diagnosis and person-centered care planning designed to maximize functioning and utilize the behavior of the person living with dementia as communication of their needs and wishes. The text outlines an approach to strength based care planning. In 2020, she was awarded the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry Jeannie Jackson Siegal Clinician of the Year award. She is an Affiliate Asst Professor of Psychiatry at Oregon Health and Sciences University Dept of Psychiatry.
