President & CEO, PACE Southeast Michigan
Mary Kummer Naber is the President & CEO of PACE Southeast Michigan, part of the national Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). PACE Southeast Michigan is the largest and fastest growing PACE program in Michigan. PACE is an innovative health plan and full-care provider with seven locations serving seniors across the majority of Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.
Mary is an authentic, energetic, and creative leader with extensive experience leading large healthcare organizational/people strategies, operations, and large-scale change initiatives. Her relentless focus is on care, culture, and people to enable the fulfillment of the Mission.
Prior to PACE Southeast Michigan, Mary’s 33-years in healthcare evolved to Senior Executive roles accountable for a wide scope of services, including the development of the ACO, HR/OD, Strategy/Marketing/PR, Behavioral Health, Senior Care, Home Care, etc. Mary ultimately became the Chief Administrative Officer for the Ascension Michigan Market.
Mary received her MBA from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and a BA from Oakland University. She is a graduate of Leadership Detroit Class XXXII and certified as an executive coach.
As a lifelong resident of the Detroit region, Mary volunteers in a variety of ways with special attention for underserved children, education, and seniors. Mary serves as Vice Chair for the Michigan Veterans’ Facility Authority Board of Directors. She is Vice Chair of the PACE Association of Michigan and a member of the National Pace Association Board of Directors. She was recognized for her work with seniors in the city of Detroit with a “Spirit of Detroit” award in 2017.
Mary resides in Grosse Pointe Park with her husband of 38 years and is the proud mother of four young adults expanding to seven, and now a beautiful granddaughter.
